A Journey from Cusco's Heartland:
Salkantay is a coffee, brought to you by Red Fox, that embodies the essence of the La Convencion Valley in Cusco, Peru. This crop traces its roots to the Huadquiña cooperative, a partnership initiated in 2015, and whose growth has been nothing short of remarkable.
Nestled in the heart of the La Convencion Valley, Huadquiña calls Santa Teresa its home. This charming town lies at the base of the awe-inspiring Templo de La Luna, overlooking the Urubamba River. All of this unfolds within the larger tapestry of the Cusco region, a place where tradition and nature converge.
What makes Salkantay Coffee truly exceptional is its namesake, the towering Salkantay Mountain, which soars to an impressive 6,271 meters above sea level. This peak stands as the highest in Cusco, a symbol of the region's natural splendor. It's from the pristine waters of this mountain that the resilient people of Salkantay town draw their sustenance. These waters, perhaps among the purest in the world, meander through the farms, infusing the soil with vitality and nourishing the coffee crops, ultimately yielding a quality that is nothing short of superb.
